Bloccpay was created to tackle the growing challenge of making cross-border payments and payroll management simpler, especially for businesses dealing with a global workforce. Whether paying in fiat or cryptocurrency, businesses need a seamless, efficient solution that doesn’t complicate compliance or payments.
We designed Bloccpay with two key audiences in mind: businesses managing international teams and freelancers looking for flexible, timely payments. Our goal was to create a platform that handled payroll and payments in both fiat and crypto, while simplifying compliance across different regions.

The Challenge
Imagine you're running a business that hires talent from all over the world. You must make regular payments, but each country has different currencies, banking systems, and compliance requirements. Cross-border payments take days or even weeks, and payroll becomes a time-consuming headache.
It's just as frustrating for freelancers. They’re often left waiting for payments, unsure when funds will arrive, and they may even prefer to be paid in cryptocurrency, which can speed up the process. Unfortunately, few payment platforms offer this flexibility, leaving both parties stuck in a system not designed for modern, global business.

Solution
Our solution was to create a platform that simplifies the entire payroll process for businesses while offering flexibility and transparency for freelancers.
For businesses, the onboarding process was designed to be quick and efficient. We built tools to help them manage compliance by uploading and verifying necessary documents, like business licenses and identification. Then, we integrated the Blocc Wallet, which supports both fiat and cryptocurrency transactions, so businesses could manage all payments in one place. Payroll became automated, allowing companies to set schedules and process payments with just a few clicks.
For freelancers, the experience was designed with transparency in mind. They can create and track invoices, knowing exactly when payments are made. If they prefer cryptocurrency, they have the option to receive payments directly into their Blocc Wallet.

The Process
Our design process began with extensive research. We interviewed businesses managing global teams and freelancers frustrated by slow, inconsistent payments. Their insights helped us identify the most critical pain points: slow payment processes, complex compliance requirements, and the need for more flexible payment options.
We mapped out the user flows for both businesses and freelancers. For businesses, the focus was on streamlining payroll, compliance, and payments. For freelancers, we prioritized transparency, ensuring they could track their invoices and receive payments without delay.
Next came wireframing and prototyping. We started with low-fidelity wireframes to outline the core functionality and then moved to high-fidelity prototypes in Figma. Through user testing, we refined the design to ensure an intuitive, user-friendly experience for businesses and freelancers.

Outcome
Bloccpay’s launch had a significant impact. Thanks to automation and the simplified compliance process, businesses saw a 35% reduction in the time spent managing payroll. On the other hand, freelancers reported getting paid 40% faster, especially those who chose to receive payments in cryptocurrency.
Bloccpay also processed over $2 million in cross-border transactions within the first three months, with 20% of those payments being made in cryptocurrency—showing that the demand for flexible payment options was real and growing.
On the compliance side, the platform’s document upload and verification tools helped businesses easily meet local regulations, reducing their administrative burden and ensuring legal compliance.
